Bunker Hamburg Central Station

Pictures taken in the nuclear bomb shelter under the central train station in Hamburg. The small association Hamburger Unterwelten offers guided tours through this huge hidden facility.

The facility was originally built between 1941 and 1944 for up to 2460 people. Between 1965 ad 1969 it was refitted to also offer some protection in case of a nuclear attack. 150 rooms with a total of 2700 square meters offered seats and beds for 2702 people.
