The Art Institute of Chicago is one of America's premier fine art museums. Located in Chicago, Illinois's Loop, the Museum is especially known for its extensive collection of Impressionist and American art, and also boasts an extended collection of master works garnering international praise. It is located on the western edge of Grant Park, at 111 South Michigan Avenue in the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District, in a building designed by the Boston firm of Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge (1892).
