Lorsch and Worms 2002

The ancient entrance hall of the Imperial Abbey of Lorsch, the so called "Königshalle", built in the 9th century by Emperor Louis III, is the oldest and probably the most beautiful monument of Franconian architecture.

St. Peter in Worms is the smallest of the three imperial cathedrals (Kaiserdome) in the Rhine area. The cathedral of worms was designed much more slim compared to the monumental cathedrals of Speyer and Mainz.
